Quarterback<a href="https://www.latimes.com/sports/rams/story/2023-09-10/elliott-rams-matthew-stafford-great-performance-seattle-seahawks" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Matthew Stafford</a>looked in great form in a 3<a href="https://www.latimes.com/sports/rams/story/2023-09-10/matthew-stafford-rams-convincing-win-seattle-seahawks" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">0-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks</a>, passing for 334 yards and making excellent use of receivers Puka Nakua and Tutu Atwell. The rookie Nakua was targeted 15 times and caught 10 passes for 119 yards. He is expected to play, although his availability is questionable due to a strained abdominal oblique. Atwell, in his third year as a pro, caught six passes for 119 yards. Tight end Tyler Higbee is a reliable weapon for Stafford. Cam Akers and Kieren Williams combined for 37 carries, the line did not allow a sack, and the Rams offense sustained drives and gave the defense a chance to rest between series. They should continue to excel against perhaps the most physical defense in the NFL, as defensive end Nick Bosa, the most expensive defensive player in NFL history, had five sacks in a 30-7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. (Matt Freed / Associated Press)</figcaption><p>Brock Purdy appears to have fully recovered from the<a href="https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2023-01-29/brock-purdy-injury" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">elbow injury</a>he suffered in last season's NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles. In his second year as a pro, he passed for 220 yards and two touchdowns against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Purdy has a full complement of playmakers. Running back Christian McCaffrey ran for 152 yards and scored on a 65-yard touchdown run against the Steelers. Deebo Samuel has tormented the Rams in the past as a runner, receiver, and passer. Tight end George Kittle is one of the NFL's best at the position, and receiver Brandon Iyuk caught eight passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener. The Rams will try to pressure Purdy with a front that includes seven-time All-Pro lineman Aaron Donald and edge rusher Michael Hoecht. Rookie edge rusher Byron Young and rookie tackle Koby Turner also have sacks. The Rams' secondary played well against Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith, but 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan knows the scheme against the Rams, who have not beaten the 49ers in the regular season since 2018.</p>繼續閱讀<h2>When they kick</h2><p>In his debut in a Rams uniform, kicker Brett Maher had a 57-yard attempt blocked and also missed a 56-yard attempt. But the veteran kept his composure and responded with field goals of 38, 54, and 45 yards.
